The U15 age group is aiming to run two streamed teams playing in the Saracens Herts Middlesex Junior League. We have around 36 boys from across the Hertfordshire area and numerous schools. We welcome all players from new starters & school players who want to try-out a new sport or experienced players who may have moved to the area or club; plus our returning players; aged 14/15 (School Year 10).
Training runs on Wednesday evenings throughout the season from September. Matches are generally always played on Sunday mornings (dependant on location) between 9:00 and 13:00. On league match days players are expected to change (white shirt, club tie) and join the opposition for food in the clubhouse afterwards for post-match presentations. When not playing matches we also train on Sunday mornings at Hoe Lane, Hertford RFC. We train as one whole squad with all the boys receiving the same quality input from all coaches on carousel rotation-based sessions to develop skills and techniques, as well as dividing up for positional and squad runs as required.
As a collective, our age group coaches look to inspire, encourage and promote players' rugby development across the spectrum of skill sets whilst cultivating a fun environment to build friendships both on and off the pitch. Emphasis is placed on the rugby core values (TREDS; Teamwork, Respect, Enjoyment, Discipline and Sportsmanship), the Saracens ethos of Workrate, Character, Athletic Potential and Super-Strength, and the 3 A's (positive Attitude, strong Attendance and an interest in developing their Ability).
We use Pitchero for communication so join via the website and mobile App to keep an eye-out for information such as training pitch location, match day details and other age group/club related info.
